What is Modern Pilates?
Modern Pilates is a clinical and contemporary approach to Pilates and looks at core stability, functional stability and postural alignment. It has been developed over the last 15 years by physiotherapists and fitness experts, delivering a high quality unique programme of exercises using the most up to date research from the world of physiotherapy and holistic exercise. Based on the original works of Joseph Pilates, Modern Pilates has modifications so that the exercises fit with modern research and knowledge. The exercises focus on a slow and controlled approach.

What is the aim of Modern Pilates?
The aim is to address muscle imbalance by building strong and stable muscles which are flexible and correctly aligned. In Modern Pilates you are encouraged to activate your deeper abdominals.

Modern Pilates is suitable for both Women and Men of all age groups ( including older adults many of whom already enjoy Modern Pilates) ranging from total beginners to very active people (must be 16 years or over)
